About this coloring page
Perched on a smooth rock, this mermaid combs her long, wavy hair while her tail curls down into the sea. Flowing hair and tail fins make a pleasant medium-level page.
Long wavy hair is the biggest space on this page, so toddlers can fill it with one bold crayon color. Older kids can try sweeping strokes that follow each wave, which makes the hair look like it is drifting in the sea breeze. The rock is a good spot to practice soft gray shading along its bottom edge.
- Color ideaTry a teal-to-purple tail, golden or red hair, and a gray-blue rock.
- ImagineImagine the mermaid can see the whole ocean from her rock: what does she spot first?
