About this coloring page
Toot. A curly-haired merboy sits on a rock and blows into a spiral conch shell like a trumpet, with just a few big shapes for an easy page.
A conch is a large spiral shell made by a sea snail, and it grows bigger as the snail grows. What is the merboy calling everyone to with his shell horn: dinner, a game, or a sea parade? Kids can draw music lines curling out of the shell, then march around the room as if the parade has started.
Fun factPeople have used conch shells as horns, blowing into them like trumpets, for thousands of years.
- Color ideaColor the conch shell peach with a pink inside, and the merboy's tail ocean blue.
- After coloringHold a cup to your mouth and hum through it like a shell horn.
