About this coloring page
Best friends share a big hug as a mermaid wraps her arms around a smiling dolphin. Two tails and flowing hair give a medium level of detail with lots of sweet charm.
How did the mermaid and the dolphin become such good friends? Let your child tell the story of the day they first met. Real dolphins chat with each other using clicks and whistles, and each one has a special whistle that works a bit like a name. Make up a whistle for this dolphin and try it out loud.
Fun factDolphins breathe air through a blowhole on the top of their heads.
- Color ideaUse soft gray-blue for the dolphin and a bright purple or turquoise tail for the mermaid.
- After coloringTalk about who you would give a big hug to today.
