About this coloring page
High five. A smiling mermaid slaps claws with a cheerful little crab, and both look delighted, with legs, fins and hair adding up to a detailed, playful page.
Why are these two giving each other a high five? Did they just win a race, find a treasure, or finish a sandcastle? Crabs have ten legs, and the front two are their claws, so this crab is using one of them to slap the mermaid's hand. Count the little legs you can see, then talk about what makes a good teammate.
Fun factCrabs usually walk sideways.
- Color ideaColor the crab bright red and use cool blues and greens for the mermaid so the crab pops.
- After coloringWalk sideways like a crab across the room.
