About this coloring page
Round petals frame a happy face on this spring flower, which stands on a stem with two broad leaves. The petals are big and even, a gentle medium page for spring.
What does a flower need to grow: sunshine, water, soil, or all three? Chat about it while coloring the big round petals of this spring bloom. Then look at the two broad leaves and explain that leaves catch sunlight to make food for the plant. Crayons are great for the petals, and a fine pencil helps with the thin stem.
Fun factBees visit flowers to collect sweet nectar and pollen.
- Color ideaColor the petals pink and purple in turn, with a sunny yellow center.
- After coloringCount the petals and draw a bee flying toward the flower.
