About this coloring page
A long, pointed icicle hangs from a snowy ledge with a cheerful face. Very few shapes keep this an easy, quick page for little hands.
Point out the difference between the soft, fluffy snow on the ledge and the hard, shiny icicle hanging below. Which one would feel colder in your hand, and which one might crunch underfoot? Let your child trace the icicle's bumpy edge with a finger first. Because the shape is so simple, it is a calm, quick page for very young hands.
Fun factIcicles form when melting snow drips and freezes again on the way down.
- Color ideaShade the icicle with pale blue and add white streaks for a frozen shine.
- After coloringTalk about where you might see icicles in winter.
