About this coloring page
This smiling skeleton looks ready for a museum, with every rib and tail bone drawn out on its stand. Kids who like detail can color bone by bone, turning it into a fossil display.
Museums display dinosaur skeletons built from fossil bones or careful copies of them. What would your child most want to see at a dinosaur museum, and what question would they ask a fossil scientist? The bones are thin and separate, so this page suits colored pencils and older kids, while younger ones can color the skull and the stand.
Fun factScientists who dig up and study dinosaur fossils are called paleontologists.
- Color ideaUse cream for the bones and a gray stand, then shade the edges of each bone light brown.
- After coloringCount the rib bones and the tail bones, then add the two numbers together.
