About this coloring page
One giant three-toed footprint has a goofy smile of its own, with pebbles scattered at its base. The shapes are big and bold, perfect for toddlers practicing their first coloring.
This footprint has three toes, just like a bird's foot. How many toes does your child have on one foot, and how many more is that than three? Look for bird footprints in mud, sand or snow on your next walk. The pebbles are tiny shapes for practicing small spaces, while the giant print is perfect for a big crayon.
Fun factFossil footprints help scientists work out how dinosaurs walked and how fast they moved.
- Color ideaColor the footprint sandy brown and give each pebble a different shade of gray.
- After coloringTrace around your own foot on paper and compare it to the dinosaur print.
