About this coloring page
Here is a gentle giant with a neck that stretches up and up and a tail that curls behind. The large open shapes suit younger colorers who are just learning to fill a space with crayon.
Brontosaurus was nearly as long as two school buses parked end to end. Compare it with long things your child knows, like a car, a bed or a hallway, and guess which is longest. Younger kids can color the four sturdy legs and then the body, and older kids can add a slightly darker shade along the underside.
Fun factThe name Brontosaurus means thunder lizard.
- Color ideaUse long, smooth strokes of soft blue-gray down the neck so the color follows its shape.
- After coloringStretch your arm up high like a long neck and pretend to munch treetop leaves.
