About this coloring page
A shield with a happy face and a big star in the center is about as simple as castle pages get. With only a handful of shapes, it is perfect for toddlers and first-time colorers.
A shield like this has a flat top and comes down to a point at the bottom, so trace the outline with a finger first. The star in the middle has five points, and kids who like a challenge can color each point a different color. Toddlers can fill the two big halves with chunky crayons and be done in minutes.
Fun factKnights painted colors and symbols on their shields, called a coat of arms, so others could tell who they were.
- Color ideaSplit the shield in half with two bold colors, like red and blue, and make the star bright gold.
