About this coloring page
Swishing its flowing fins, a goldfish swims in a round bowl with pebbles and a water plant at the bottom. The pebbles are great for trying different colors, and the rest of the bowl is roomy.
A goldfish uses its fins to steer, stop and stay steady: the tail pushes it forward, and the side fins help it turn. Point to each fin on this fish and say what it does. Clean water, a small amount of food and room to swim keep a pet fish healthy. The wavy fins are great for practicing smooth, curved strokes.
Fun factGoldfish have no eyelids, so they rest with their eyes open.
- Color ideaColor the fish bright orange, the water pale blue, the plant green, and the pebbles in many colors.
- After coloringDraw a castle or a shell to add to the bowl.
