About this coloring page
Dangling on its string, a smiling yo-yo hangs next to a capital Y with arms raised high. The rounded yo-yo and simple letter make a comfortable medium page.
A yo-yo rolls down its string and then climbs right back up to your hand. Can your child stand tall and raise both arms high to make a Y, just like the letter? Count how many times you can do a Y stretch in a row. The round yo-yo is a smooth circle, perfect for practicing even crayon strokes.
Fun factY can act like a consonant, as in yes, or like a vowel, as in happy.
- Color ideaColor the yo-yo red with a yellow center and the Y light green.
- After coloringSay yes and happy and listen for the two Y sounds.
